OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFundraiser Set Up for Kelli Winn Injured in Crash

Kyle WitcomskiOcean Beach is mourning the loss of one of its young sons, Kyle Witkowski, who died in the crash of his car off Sunset Cliffs during the early hours of Saturday, January 3rd. Kyle, who was 28, never made it out of his car when his Tahoe crashed through the guardrail, fence and dropped to the rocky shore below.

A memorial has been set up around a public bench at the fateful intersection, Bacon and Coronado in OB – right on the cliffs.  Heartfelt notes, many flowers and candles drape the site. Bouquets of flowers adorn the nearby chainlink fence. The ocean below continues without hesitation at the loss of human life on its doorstep.

Kyle, a totally local guy, grew up in OB, surfing the beach and Sunset Cliffs all his life. His family and friends are completely devastated.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMeanwhile a fundraiser has been set up for  Kelli Winn who luckily survived the crash. It’s on gofundme – see photo above. Kelli is a local and works  at Cafe Bella and Pizza Port in OB.

RIP Dear Friend. Kyle we Love you- as I know Miss Winn will as well… We are so grateful to have Kelli here with us today. Do not Judge ANYONE unless you have been in their shoes. We must come together with love for our friends and family of these 2 beautiful people. I understand the circumstances of this accident are horrific to make sense of but people make mistakes and it is not our job to announce what is or is not of a situation.

My prayers are with both families and friends of Kelli and Kyle. I’ve only met Kelli at Cafe Bella and her soul is kind and joyful.
