elizabeth sullivanElizabeth Sullivan Last Seen Oct. 19th – Nothing Since

San Diego Police reported on Monday, November 3, that the Point Loma woman from Liberty Station is still missing and that there are no new leads.

Elizabeth Michelle Sullivan, 31, has been missing since October 13th, where she was seen at or near her home in Liberty Station.  A text message sent on Oct. 13 was the last contact she’s had with friends or family. Her phone has since been turned off. Her vehicle was found at home.

Sullivan was reportedly seen on Sunday, October 19th over at the Liberty Station soccer fields, and described as wearing a gray sweatshirt with black leggings or “black stretch style cloth pants,” according to police.

Law enforcement investigators stated that they have  not received information of any new sightings since then.

Sullivan is an African American woman, with dark hair and dark eyes, 5-foot-3 tall, weighing 130 pounds.

If you know anything about Sullivan’s whereabouts, you are asked to call the SDPD Missing Persons Section at 619-531-2277 or Det. James Hunter at 619-531-2327.

Tip of the hat to NBC7 who seem to be the only mainstream press covering this story.

Seems a little fishy to me. As a mother, I would never just leave my children, especially when I could just take the kids, get in the car and drive back East to my family. The fact that she’s been having martial problems makes you wonder….

There’s obviously a lot of possible scenarios, from foul play to a mental breakdown to just running away from the pressure of a failing marriage (be it alone or with a new lover). For her sake and that of her children and loved ones, I hope that she is found safely and soon.

I’m still not clear on the October 19th sighting – who saw her? was it a possible or confirmed?

I find it odd there’s been little press or police involvement. Usually there’s mention about suspicion of foul play and organized search parties. The last Navy wife to go missing was all over the news, with talk about her affair and pregnancy with the guy who was charged with her murder.

The apparent lack of concern makes it seem she left voluntarily.
