Synesthesia (from answers.com)
1. A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.
2. A sensation felt in one part of the body as a result of stimulus applied to another, as in referred pain.
If you don’t feel compelled to eat everything on your Thanksgiving laden plate, at least LISTEN to your food!

better put some very special herbs in the stuffing before you watch this one.
I “suffer” from Synesthesia. Playing drums is the “therapy” for me. When I play beats I see pictures and topographic maps with texture and color and sometimes even odors.
BillyRayDrums- I notice you put “suffering” in quotes, leading me to believe that your experience is quite the opposite. Artists of all stripes- visual, musical, literary- as well as visionaries have described the sensory richness of synesthesia. (Acid trips delivered big time too.)
I like the idea of of sniffing the color of your riff :)
Annagrace It’s actually a joke about the way researchers have referred to the condition. :D
And I still want to sniff the color of the drumbeat! :)
I can tell you that “Brown Eyed Girl” smells like musty hot dogs.
