“Ocean Beach Chronicle” Hits the Streets

Ocean Beach Chronicle, Issue #2 - (as much as could be scanned on our small scanner)OCEAN BEACH, CA. It finally happened. The much-anticipated second editor of Trevor Watson’s “Ocean Beach Chronicle” has hit the streets of OB. The brightly-packaged newspaper chronicles the year 1973, and has lots of photos, graphics, ads and articles about our historic seaside community. Trevor was kind enough to include our “A Paradise Guarded by the Tides” article with most of Patty’s photos (you can go here to the original article). The paper can be found in many establishments around OB town, but hurry, as we have heard reports that folks are scooping them up by the armloads.

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.
