“Greene Square” – OB Residents Demonstrate for Safe Streets & Attempt a Round-A-bout

“Weird” intersection at Froude and Greene Streets brings out the round-a-bouts – Wed. June 4, 6-10pm

OCEAN BEACH, CA. Local residents of northeast Ocean Beach have called for a “Community Demonstration for Safe Streets” and want folks to gather on Wednesday, June 4th at the intersection of Froude and Greene Streets, from 6 to 10pm. There will be badminton, chalk drawing and other festivities next to or inside the “Round-A-Bout” that locals want to show as a solution to the “weird” intersection. Organizers will attempt to install a ’round-a-bout in the wide box-like paved area at that intersection, that once was, apparently, a street car station.
