There Will Be Blood
Over this past weekend, Donald Trump threatened violence if he didn’t win the election and if he won, he would jail political opponents, Democratic political lawyers and donors and enact the substance of that Project 2025.
Trump’s remarks, some of which made in a social media posting on Saturday night, represent the most overt signal yet that he may not accept the result in November if he loses, says the Washington Post.
“WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again,” Trump wrote on Saturday on his Truth Social platform. “We cannot let our Country further devolve into a Third World Nation, AND WE WON’T!”
“Please be aware that this legal exposure extends to Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters & Corrupt Election Officials,” he wrote, adding that such people will be “sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country.”
He pledged to jail and go after people “involved in unscrupulous behavior” related to voting in the 2024 election, suggesting without evidence that the election could be stolen from him — and prompting widespread condemnation from election officials who said such rhetoric could provoke violence.
His comments are his most direct threats made against those who will administer elections this year. In reality, illegal voting is exceedingly rare. But Trump appears to be replaying his efforts to sow doubt about the voting process ahead of the 2020 election — actions that contributed to the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
On Sunday, Trump doubled down on his baseless claims of election fraud, saying on Truth Social that he expects to win the key swing state of Pennsylvania “by a lot, unless the Dems are allowed to CHEAT.”
On Saturday, the New York Times, reported that Trump vowed to vastly reshape the federal bureaucracy in a wide-ranging, often unfocused speech at a rally in Wisconsin. He pledged to ultimately eliminate the Department of Education, redirect the efforts of the Justice Department and fire civil servants charged with carrying out Biden administration policies that he disagreed with.
Many of the proposals in Mr. Trump’s speech align with plans reported by The New York Times to conduct a broad expansion of presidential power over government, and to effectively concentrate more authority within the White House, if he wins in November.
And many of his pledges dovetailed with the stated goals and proposals of Project 2025, an effort by a group of conservative organizations to develop policies for the next Republican president. So, now even the New York Times is acknowledging what people on the lefte and elsewhere have been saying saying over and over and over again.
This is the plan. It’s his plan, and it will be implemented if he’s put back into office.
People in this country need to think long and hard about what that means for any future they might imagine themselves living in. Not just their futures, but the futures of their children. Also on Saturday, Trump said in Wisconsin that cracking down on undocumented immigrants would be a “bloody story.”
Six months ago, Donald Trump predicted a “bloodbath” if he loses the 2024 election. “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it,” Trump said while discussing the economy and his tariff plan. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
Some on the left took Trump literally, citing how his supporters have risen up violently before, on Jan. 6, 2021. Those on the right argued that Trump was just speaking figuratively. The latter said he was talking about a metaphorical bloodbath. Trump has now invoked the prospect of blood again, even after his own blood was spilled just two months ago. As usual, his comments are infused with the kind of suggestiveness that allows plausible deniability.
And as usual, the point is less about what he specifically meant than that Trump continues to unmistakably toy with the prospect of righteous violence — something that we well know can inflame his supporters. Washington Post
I know this a preaching to the choir since most people who read this pub are liberal minded, but we cannot let the guy win. If he wins his belief that he was cheated the first time, will be vindicated, and he will go after everyone who has and will be a threat to his rule (the rule of trump-can you imaging his entire family being in power forever – barf). This could be the catalyst to a massive culling. Anyone who has a brain and thinks for themselves, should be worried because the first people to get “removed” will be the thinkers. We’ve seen this before and he’s using the playbook. If he loses, it’ll be a mess too but at least we will have the courts and law enforcement as stop gaps for any insanity that happens. If you’re a registered Independent or some other party and are still on a fence, do not vote for this guy. You will 100% be sorry you did because if he wins, being a registered independent vs the trump party, will also be in the line of fire. I have no idea how to change anyone’s mind other than calling a duck a duck. Be afraid.
Trump’s threats to jail donors will cause me to donate to the Harris-Walz ticket.

Trump is a loser. He has always been a loser, and he will always be a loser. Why 45%-47% of the voting population continues to vote against their best interests and for this racist, misogynistic, adulterer, and convicted felon is beyond reason.
A good chunk of that very 45 – 47 percent vote for him specifically BECAUSE of his misogyny and racism.
