No. Rank and file Capitol police were heroes that day. Cheap shot and not even effective or funny parody.
Shame on you for publishing this stupid meme!
I’m a fan of irony, satire, parody, and most forms of left wing humor. I occasionally watch old George Carlin live shows for that matter, since they are still so dead on the money…no offense for the the pun, George! I’m also a subscriber to Tom Tomorrow and Jen Sorensen’s weekly strips. Humor is a necessary component of political and social understanding!
Frank, your two links are just the tip of it all I’m afraid. It’s like that movie Volcano when suddenly the LA streets fill with lava. But we didn’t KNOW wailed the populace…
I don’t think anyone or neither of the two links posted are implying that all members of the Capitol police on duty were in collusion or that there weren’t heroic cops doing the best they possibly could with what they had to work with. The problem is, there was no reason for the leadership to be as ill-prepared as they were.
Of course not! Many of them were brave heroes who tried to stand up to the insurrectionist mob. But, yeah, you’re right Chris – it looks like the leadership and some congressional members were in cahoots with the rioters.
Thanks Frank. That was sort of a response to Peter. He is right in that there were some very brave and honorable cops on duty doing their jobs and risking life and limb in doing so. Unfortunately there were others where that just wasn’t the case.
Just to be clear, I objected to the MEME, not anything deeper than that. The photo is out of context and just plain offensive.
Spanking is in order here.
Amy Goodman on DemocracyNow reported on Friday that, so far, 1 out of 5 of the rioters identified were military vets. Too many with the power of life & death in their hands were involved…cops and soldiers.

Peter, I knew that’s what you were referring to and what your point was.
