Contest for the Next Freeway Banner by the OB Resister Sisters

An earlier but even still timely banner installed by the OB Resister Sisters.

That’s right, kids! This is a contest for the slogan for the next freeway banner put up by the OB Resister Sisters.

For months and months, the OB Resister Sisters have been hanging freeway banners on San Diego roadways – and now they’re on a little break.

But to welcome them back – they’ve agreed to go with this exclusive OB Rag contest – and put up the winning message – that they pick.

So – send us your ideas for a cool and timely banner. There’s really no rules, except this:

The messages are extremely limited in size and the Sisters are pretty much limited to three or four panels. And you only get about 10 letters across each panel. So you get maybe 30 or 40 letters max per line (across the three or four panels) and then you get two rows of stacked letters.

As one Resister Sister told us:

Tell ‘em SHORT AND SWEET!

NINE OR TEN LETTERS IS ALL YOU GET
PER PANEL. SO IT’S VERY LIMITED.

Submit your idea for a banner slogan either in a comment to this post or send it to us via the OB Rag email (obragblog@gmail.com ) and we’re forward them all to the Sisters.

Then the Sisters will choose their favorites – and put up at least one of the them – the main winner. There’s no prizes except knowing you came up with the banner that thousands of motorists will see.

The contest will extend for one week – from today, Tuesday, July 24 to next Tuesday, July 31.
