General Coastal Waters Advisory Lifted – Except for La Jolla and Dog Beach in Ocean Beach

The San Diego County’s Department of Environmental Health General Advisory for all San Diego coastal waters has been lifted except for La Jolla’s chronic areas and except for Dog Beach in OB.

The lifting of the general advisory includes Mission Bay and San Diego Bay.

But not for the San Diego River outlet to 300′ south – which is Dog Beach. And this is all because bacteria levels may exceed health standards due to most recent significant rain occurred on February 27, 2018.

Surfers, swimmers and dog-owners are advised to avoid contact with the ocean or river water in that area.

The general advisory for all San Diego coastal waters is back up – and people are advised not to have any contact with water for 72 hours after the last rain of March 3rd.
