Important Meeting of Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Council

If you enjoy walking or surfing at Sunset Cliffs — and enjoy the beautiful view — you’re invited to this important meeting of the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Council on Tuesday, August 15th, and your attendance and comments would be of value to the future of the Cliffs.
Draining along Sunset Cliffs, the hills of Point Loma, and Point Loma Nazarene University will be discussed at Tuesday’s Natural Park Council meeting. Comments will be submitted to Rick Engineering who has been hired by the City for a Drainage Improvement Project and re-vegetation and landscaping of Sunset Cliffs Natural Park.
The future and preservation of Sunset Cliffs Natural Park will be effected by some of the decisions made concerning drainage. Drainage and erosion are major concern for all coastal lands.
The meeting will be held at the Cabrillo Rec Center, 3051 Canon Street, on Tuesday 8/15, at 6:30 pm.

An additional follow up meeting will be held tonight at Cabrillo Rec (6:30 pm), and many things were tabled on Tuesday. The Council will be taking some additional time (on top of tonight’s meeting) to carefully provide its comments and concerns to Rick Engineering.
