Immigration Rallies and March in Downtown San Diego – Photo Gallery

Here are a few photos from the Solidarity with Immigrants rallies and marches held Saturday, February 18th in downtown San Diego – under the banner, “No Ban No Wall – Sanctuary for All” .

The demonstration began at the San Diego County Administration Building, and then the massive crowd poured onto Harbor Drive, turning and marching down Broadway to the Federal Building on Front Street. As the protest moved onto Harbor Dr., I stood on the median and personally counted 2,000 people in the street (give or take a hundred) –  with another hundred or so stragglers or latecomers.

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.
