Meanwhile, the suspected shooter, Thomas Francis Burke, had his arraignment postponed from Monday to this upcoming Thursday, because well-known defense attorney Thomas Warwick informed the arraignment judge that he was in the process of being retained by the family. Burke remains in jail without bail.

If convicted of murder and the use of a gun, Burke faces 50 years to life in prison, according to Deputy District Attorney Kyle Sutterley.

San Diego police Homicide Lt. Manny Del Toro had told the media that Robles and Burke were acquaintances.

  1. Is there any info on what precipitated this murder? Were the two men friends? Were they drinking? Inquiring minds want to know.

This one block has a tragic history. You may remember the father who killed his son outside the tamale shop a few years ago….just to spite his wife.

    Tis a shame.

    1. Jess Robles is actually my uncle, they were not friends. Thomas was just jealous about Jess. I do not wan to go into details.

  2. Very sorry someone lost their life.

But this is extremely out of character for the suspect.

I am curious to learn the victims past. Criminal history? Drugs involved? Relationship issues?

    1. What do you mean you want to know the victims past? My lost his little brother because someone took it upon themselves to take someone else’s life, frankly it doesn’t Matter who prompted the altercation I just hope the suspect gets the maximum repercussions for his actions.
