Tuesday, March 8th: The OB Pier has been closed by lifeguards this morning due to high surf. A high surf advisory has gone into effect.
City crews are preparing the area for any damage that the high surf could cause. Lifeguards have not determined when the pier can reopen.
Meanwhile, lifeguards are asking surfers and swimmers to stay out of the water to avoid dangerous conditions.
