So, we don’t have to. And another thing …

Hey, why is there more coverage of this story than stories about the missing Pt Loma woman or the missing OB man?

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.

  1. …and once those missing people have been located and are safely back where they should be, can we broach the subject of dogs being east of Dog Beach in what is CLEARLY signed a Wildlife Preserve? The signs are where the responsible dog owner, leashes his or her dog and maintains control of them so that the birds (whether year-round or migratory) are free to live their lives and do their best to survive without constant threat of being chased and too often caught, injured and or killed by, “sweet little fluffy, who wouldn’t normally hurt a fly.” Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful for the lifeguard who saved the dog. The dog did what comes naturally. Owners need to “own up” to their responsibilities in that area adjacent to Dog Beach.
