Local TV station 10News is reporting about a hit and run in OB over Veterans’ Day. The wayward motorist hit two parked cars early Tuesday, the 12th.
The first was around 1:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Del Mar Avenue where the driver struck a Toyota 4Runner that was parked, moving it onto the adjacent sidewalk.
Next the driver hit a Ford Mustang in the 1500 block of Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Finally, the suspect abandoned his own truck on Santa Barbara Street near Pescadero Avenue.
Fortunately, no one at this stage was injured. Police think the suspected hit and run driver – who has not been caught – may be armed as they found ammunition in the truck. Police are investigating the situation.
10News spoke to Peter Bisone who owns the Ford Mustang . He told them:
“We heard a loud impact from our house. We own the property here on Sunset Cliffs, and we walked out to see how bad someone’s vehicle was, and it turned out to be our car.”
“This is the second time, same vehicle. Being Veterans [Day] weekend, [my wife] pulled up out front of the house and I had her move the vehicle thinking it’d be a bad idea to have it parked out in front of the house, so she moved it back to here, and it got hit.”
