A local story of note (which has gone national) is about a guy who refused to go through TSA’s full body scan at SD International airport, and then refused a secondary pat down and subsequently ended up in the third ring of bureaucratic/Homeland security hell. Homeland Security measures, broadly applied and comprehensive in scope, threaten the privacy of everyday citizens as well the activists among us.
The victim did not refuse a part down. He refused to allow his groin and private parts to be fondled by a government worker. I would hope everyone had the right to refuse this invasion of privacy. Of course, this government thinks he should be fined for this refusal.
