At about the time lots of folks were sitting down to a Christmas breakfast or cleaning up the remnants of a gift exchange, Frank and I were headed east, hoping to get a break in the weather and  take a drive in our local mountains.  Here’s a few shots of what we found, a winter wonderland, right here in the southland.

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season, however you celebrate it. We are surely looking forward to a new year!

Patty, these are such nice pictures. Seems like you and Frank really gave Christmas its due. From the land of 2 feet of snow, my appreciation for a good look at the special snow of the Lagunas.

peace for the new year,
Dickie

Thanks for the photos. Especially like the misty, foggy atmosphere. Seems somehow mysterious, ethereal …

Very cool…spent the day up in Laguna myself at Mom’s house, easily the most snow on the ground I’ve seen in the last 10 years or so. All fun until time to clear 3″ of ice off the drive to head home…
