It’s great
that we continue
to chant and sing
“No Kings”
and constantly scream
at ICE
and other such things
but now
it’s time to
take-to-the streets
and demand
the termination of Donald J’s presidency
before he makes our democracy
look like a ship
sinking in a turbulent sea,
and we should do so
for any number of reasons
that we could list randomly,
considering that’s how he operates daily,
a convicted felon
who sleeps on the job
and snaps awake
and undertakes some important presidential task
ever so haphazardly and disorderly,
a repulsive excuse of a man
known for caging brown children or suddenly firing people
or freezing a vital program or grant
on the spot
like a certifiable crackpot
and wannabe despot,
constantly trying to erase Black History
or any dark skin people’s past,
deaf to rules of law,
one who tampers with classified documentations
and engages in unnecessary military aggressions and escalations
and withdraws from alliances and treaties and organizations
that are designed for our protection
and inflicts tariffs on friendly nations that increase inflation
and economic instability,
not to mention that he
causes judges to work overtime
keeping up with his crimes
and makes himself and his family
more wealthy through corruption and obstruction
and insurrection
of all kinds…
I know this barely scratches the surface
of this asinine narcissist’s misgivings
but it certainly is enough
to show
that he is more the poster boy
for somebody
a jailer should lock up and throw away the key
than someone
fit to be our president.
And, to show our discontent
we should rally in the street
right away
and there we should stay
until he’s fired and locked away.

But do we need to keep pushing the AI Slop images on here? It really undermines the creative spirit of human made content – let alone all of the ecological effects and water usage that comes with generating even just one image. Hire real artists!

Some times it takes a poet to say what the people feel.
Let me apologize to readers. At my age I struggle so hard to deal with all the technology and apps for this and apps for that, and what’s in and what’s out. So, I really didn’t even notice that the image I chose was AI generated, as it just so expressed what I was feeling. So, for me, a lesson was learned and I’ll try to pay more attention to what I’m doing.
I love the image and feel that no apology is indicated.

Agree. The picture was obviously fake in some way, whether AI or some other photoshop-like computer generated, or even old fashioned cut and paste printed images matters zero to me.
Someone named enzo fernandez just made a comment threatening Ernie. (We did not approve it.) This is unacceptable. And anyone who knows this person (maybe a Russian bot?) tell them like it is in a peaceful way.
