Last week, we posted an article about anti-short term rentals stickers being plastered around north OB.
Now, we find residents of Clairemont have done one better against the ADUs that have clobbered their community over the last couple of years. (See above)
Go here to see the photos of the small professionally made and anonymous signs that have popped up in the Clairemont Mesa area.:
The Voice of San Diego first noticed the signs with a post on X by a board member of YIMBY Democrats. As per the Voice, the YIMBY thought he was “trolling” the Clairemont neighborhood but we think he was doing everyone a favor unintentionally by spotlighting the signs and their sentiment and are celebrating them.
If you want to know more about how we feel on ADUs, see this: “Worst ADU Contest Revisited“.

ROTFLMAO. I need a couple of the top signs.
Once again thank you Frank for highlighting this information and making the public aware who have had their neighborhoods, streets and home values destroyed by these egregious 10,12 and 18 ADUs.
These developers provided NO parking for all those dwellings and you know those ADU’s renting for $2,500.00 to $3,000,00 per month and they are going to have roommates so you are looking at 20 to 40 cars now parking on their street and this ridiculous idea they ALL are taking the bus! Give me break.
The VOSD article has since been corrected. Wesley Morgan is a former board member (Treasurer) of the YIMBY Democrats. I am the current Treasurer as of February 2026.
When people start moving into these ADUs, it will be funny to see the tension between them and the long time residents.
Tension between each other! Can we hear from someone who lives in one? I wonder what it is really like in those tiny, tiny spaces. When we had to buy a new washing machine, we heard from the salesman that the manufacturers have started making them in a miniaturized version to be used in the new ADUs and Complete Communities apartments, too small to hold a regular size.
