  1. Not surprised. I walk down by the pier several times a week. The south end of the seawall along the parking lot has seriously deteriorated. I walk my 50 pound dog and often walk in the parking lot rather than the sidewalk because of the chaos. I do that for my dog’s sake. What amazes me is that I rarely see a PD presence. I remember days when they got out of their cruisers and walked along the boardwalk, they were present. Not anymore. With the drug dealing going on and the gang graffiti, it was only a matter of time.

  2. OB has always been known for homeless, dirtbags, gangs, drugs and lots of crime, mainly petty theft and simple assault, and now murder. It is well known that the fine citizens of OB are anti-police, well you can’t have it both ways.
