I can’t help but wonder why
we’re making it possible
for Donald J. Trump
to become our president again
when he once failed at the job miserably,
nodding off in the oval office,
waiting for a ride, from time to time,
so, he wouldn’t miss his tee time.
And this time he, in essence, figuratively,
wants to blow our democracy away,
all caught up in thought processes
that lead him,
in his wisdom,
to feel that there are good people
on both sides of the divide
when it comes to racists
and victims of racism,
his moral compass so erratic
that it allows him to try to steal votes
and blame it on other folks
with no hesitation,
or turn thugs loose in the Capital Building
with nooses and weapons
and just keep on stepping,
thinking of himself and nobody else,
a jive dude prone to do anything
as long as it’s the wrong thing to do,
like bragging about getting rid of Roe v. Wade;
stealing classified documents and storing them away;
speaking of wars as though armed conflicts are
a lark,
a mere leisurely walk in the park,
claiming he would end the war in Ukraine
in one day,
like somebody off his meds,
one might say,
so out of touch with reality;
calling war heroes suckers and losers,
declaring that wounded veterans are unworthy
to march or ride in a military parade,
ideas that once would have gotten
him run out of the USA,
especially since he, perhaps more than anything,
would like to be bosom buddies
with Vladimir Putin, a vicious tyrant
who is no friend of ours …
Oh, I could go on for hours
about this wretched son-of-a-gun
who hasn’t ever done
anything that’s beneficial to anyone,
save offering a few tax breaks to billionaires
I mean who has ever seen him do anything loving
like trying to provide citizens health care benefits,
or taking on the NRA to prevent fools from letting loose with shooting fits,
or trying to address homophobia,
or poor race relations,
or bringing Arabs and Jews together in some way.
And now because we’ve enabled him to build up steam,
he’s ready to fulfill the dreams
that are inherent in a Project 2025 scheme
that’s designed, basically,
to take away
so many of the protections
and opportunities
we Americans enjoy today,
relentlessly paving the way
for him to live his fantasy
of being a ruler someday
who gets to have everything
go his way,
with no concerns whatsoever
about generations
who will have hell to pay someday
because of the carbon emissions that will continue to heat earth’s air
and wreak havoc that will be beyond repair
if he satisfies his desire to
“Drill, baby, drill”
and get at the oil beneath us that he calls “liquid gold.”
This demon of a man has no soul
and if we truly want to defeat him and deny him his goal
of destroying
all the good that has been achieved
since our country began,
we’re going about it a bit slow
as he’s on a roll.
We’ve got to get on the go
and stop this man before it all blows.

Thank you for an eloquent summation of our previous President. He is a vile human being. It’s an embarrassment that we would even consider him to be President again. America we are better than this!
Ernie, under President Trump we were getting out of wars and he never engaged us in one…we were energy free, oil-free power isn’t ready yet for a thriving country…someday it may work but not in this decade…your losers comments were totally debunked, even by the left leaning Axios…made up comments by pathetic lying losers themselves…argue what you wish about Roe but it certainly was and is a state issue…here in this once great state the majority disagrees with the ruling…doesn’t impact YOU at all because there wasn’t any change in our California laws…as for the Middle East, it was President Trump who created a vision for peace…Putin has been debunked over and over…the pee dossier…debunked, over and over…where’s your outrage that the dems tossed aside their parties chosen one because he was losing…the party speaks, not the people…we should all be angry over that…November 5th will be a huge day for America, i know who i’ll be voting for and not to assume but i believe i know who you’ll support…which makes America GREAT!

I have the pleasure of working in the presence of people like Everett. Some openly boasting they will buy an arsenal of weapons and ammo should Harris get elected. The interesting thing is, when they leave the base (North Island) after getting off work, they pull over somewhere and put their huge Trump and F*** Biden flags (now a bit outdated) on the back of their pick ups. And these are people with security clearances. Gotta love that.
Thanks Chris…not sure why people feel it’s important to boast about their “arsenal”…most of us gun owners have them quietly locked away in a gun safe, praying that we never have to use them against another human being…as for Harris, we’re a Republic, I certainly don’t support her, I didn’t support joey and his criminal clowns but not once did i or any of my friends discuss violence when he was elected…it’s always the left and the dems…riots and violence in 2017…i know, you’ll all go to Jan6…one (1) person killed, a San Diego Trump supporter…as for the flags, i see plenty of silly rainbow flags flying on cars, on my city buildings…BLM flags flying at the same places…yawn…doesn’t trigger us…if we want change it will be at the ballot box and in the courts…i proudly fly my American flag everyday
