Obviously, you’re being civil but to compare the two candidates as being of some kind of equal status is quite – what’s the word to use? stupid, ahistorical, contrary to history, unbalanced, crazy — I could go on. But one is a fascist and the other is not. One is for the rule of law and democracy and the other is not.
So, sorry, if this is how you feel, I wouldn’t vote for you.

Gee, thanks, but see, this is what I’m talking about – a false equivalency – which will only further Trump, so cannot encourage its expression. They are NOT the different sides of the same coin, which is exactly what the German left claimed back in the 1930s – and see what that brought them. Before Hitler went after Jews, he went after the left, the socialists, the union leaders, the democrats …. We need to make alliances with that part of the establishment that rejects fascism – for our own survival and the survival of what’s left of our fragile democracy.
