Once again I want to thank all of the readers from the OB Rag that have contacted me and asked why I haven’t been writing recently. Your missing me has helped in the recovery process from a TIA (transient ischemic attack), which left me blinded in the left eye. Gradually my sight is coming back, although just peripherally at this point. It is most disconcerting to not see my dogs when they are on my left side, and I am using a walker primarily so that I don’t trip over them – again!
And, talking about my dogs – this is a problem that I hoping one of you can help me with. I have two dogs of my own – Rex is a 70 pound Golden Retriever/Irish Setter Mix and Precious is a Husky/Australian Shepherd Mix, about 80 pounds. They are handfuls but trained fairly well.
I had a tenant – we will call him “Painful” that was with me for over six months. He had a delightful German Shepherd female, about 7 years old, that was pretty well trained. She is a love, and likes to be around people. Well, it seems that in the middle of the night, “Painful” packed up and moved out – I’ll let you decide why – but left his dog, “Charlie”.
This was less than one week after I had been released from the hospital after having the TIA. I would love to keep her, and every time she sees me she comes up to me and licks me and shows her love, but she weighs over 110 pounds – she is now losing weight since Steve and I are taking care of her – BUT at my age I cannot handle 3 large dogs. I hate the idea of having to get rid of her, and would feel so much better if someone that would love her would be interesting in hosting her. As I said earlier, she is really a lovable animal. If you are interested, please let me know. [Contact Judi via a comment below or at obragblog@gmail.com]
Other than that, I am getting back into the restaurant review scene; there are certainly more new restaurants in Ocean Beach than ever before. And you must know that I have many, many opinions on the up-coming elections. It’s funny how you can support a person and then watch them in action and realize your support was misplaced. I will be writing about that soon. (So glad I learned how to type using the touch method! I could never see the keys!!!)
Again, thanks for your well wishes. Keep Charlie in mind in looking for a companion!

Thanks Frank!
The Angels will be with you and I am SO glad you are better and will be writing again, soon. Do keep us up to date on Charlie.
