Vigil to Honor Aaron Bushnell by Codepink and Vets for Peace – Ocean Beach Entryway – Sat., March 2

Join CODEPINK SD, San Diego Veterans for Peace, and Palestine Pals as we honor the life of Aaron Bushnell with a candle light vigil at the entry way to Ocean Beach.

It’s Saturday, March 2 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at the intersection of Sunset Cliffs Blvd and W Point Loma Blvd in OB 92107.

The 25 year-old active duty U.S. Airman Aaron Bushnell lit himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C in protest of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. As some police tried to extinguish the fire, others yelled at him to get on the ground while pointing guns at him. He succumbed to his injuries later that day.

His last words were “Free Palestine!”

Wear pink and bring a peace-related poster if you have one!

  1. While there is absolutely no excuse for the murderous actions Israel is committing, we need to remember that in response to that, Antisemitism has exploded.
