With all hell breaking around the world this should be high priority but it’s near the bottom.
Near? The gravest threat to our species in the history of our species? Worse than the Toba Volcano in 70,000 BC that bottlenecked our ancestors almost to extinction because this time we’re doing it to ourselves. Hubris mixed with greed and stupidity isn’t a good combination for positive outcomes. But we shouldn’t worry our little heads because some scientist type will come out with a sure-fire fix anytime now. Because intelligence is so valued nowadays and pointy-headed scientists in general are SO respected and listened to? s/
Or not. How likely is that when scientists are being labeled ‘alarmists’ as the funding dries up in favor of short-term profit investments in…fossil fuels?
