The County of San Diego has issued a water quality advisory for Dog Beach in OB for Wednesday, July 3.

The County says bacteria levels may exceed health standards and to avoid water contact in the area from the San Diego River outlet to 300 feet south.

There is also an advisory for De Anza Cove in Mission Bay for the same reason and with the same caution. Apparently the De Anza Cove advisory has been in effect since June 28.

If you’re ever in doubt or need to know about local water qualities, go to the website for the County’s Beach and Bay Water Quality Program.
