Tiffani Kjeldergaard – Screen grab from NBC7SanDiego

Terrie Best remembers her friend, Tiffani Kjeldergaard – the Point Loma woman killed in a murder-suicide last Thursday, January 4th -. Best told NBC 7:

“Tiffani was a character. You couldn’t be in the same room with her without knowing she was there. She was whip-smart. Funny. Just a really interesting human being.”

San Diego Homicide detectives have ruled the fatal shooting of Kjeldergaard by 59-year-old Kenneth Everhart, who then turned the gun on himself at the Point Loma apartment complex, a murder-suicide. The two were reportedly having an argument when the shootings began.

49-year-old Kjeldergaard was not in a romantic relationship with Everhart, but police have not figured out any motive or reason for the shooting.

Terrie Best told the media that her friend had a Guinness World Record as having the world’s shortest cat. She also rode a Harley, was in a rock band and bred parrots out in East County. She loved animals, Best said, and bred cats as well. Best said:

“She was a singer in a heavy metal band in LA. – and quite something on stage. I’ve seen videos. … It was sad. I really wish that I could have had a chance to talk to her before she passed.” 7SanDiego

Kjeldergaard was also an advocate for medicinal cannabis. And this is where Terrie Best knows her from, as Best is the chapter chair for the San Diego chapter of Americans for Safe Access. OB Rag readers may recognize Terrie, as she has written several articles for us.
