This Wednesday, May 24th, the Ocean Beach Town Council will be providing a forum on the topic of short-term vacation rentals.  The title of the forum is “Shorting OB Community via Short Term Vacation Rentals”.

The meeting will be held at 7:00 pm, inside the Masonic Center at 1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., in Ocean Beach.

Mayor Kevin Faulconer or his representative have been invited to attend, as well as have San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott – who is confirmed – and members of the Save Our Neighborhoods organization, the main group that has been battling what they see as “mini-hotels”.  Also fellow OBceans who have been displaced by these rentals have been invited. The meeting is free and open to the public.

The OBTC will also address other important community issues at its monthly meeting and they encourage residents to attend to make their voice heard.

Here is the OBTC statement on STVRs posted at the OB Rag.
