Addition to Project Review Cmte Agenda – Condo Conversions on Point Loma Ave.

There’s been an additional Action Item added to tonight’s Project Review Committee’s agenda. The committee meets Wed. night at the OB Rec Center at 6pm, 4726 Santa Monica Ave.

The addition is a Map Waiver and permit for the conversion of 2 existing residences to condos at 4628 – 4630 Point Loma Avenue in south Ocean Beach. By the looks of them, these are fairly hefty houses.

What I would really love for them to talk about is the abandoned and boarded up house on bacon and del monte… the other two abandoned houses on del monte.

Giving OB and the city’s low housing supply this is outrageous – single family homes boarded up and abandoned…wow.

The house at 1764 Bacon St has applied to redevelop the site, http://obrag.org/?p=106414

The other “abandoned” houses on Del Monte Ave are owned by a local who prefers to keep them that way. They are uninhabited but not abandoned.
