Is it a Joke? Or Is it Real? Airbnb Advertises “Van Living” in Ocean Beach

Somebody named “John” is advertising his van for $25 a night in Ocean Beach on Airbnb. “Van livin’ at the beach” is the come-on line.

That’s right. It’s incredible – too incredible to be real do you think? Is it a joke?  Here’s the listing.

He advertises his van:

“Empty van with a bed in the back. Parked in a quiet safe neighborhood.”

He says it accommodates 4 but with no bathroom. Hmm.

Check out these screen captures. You tell us if it’s a joke.

  1. I’m buying up a grip of these vans and decking em out to the nines. I have a theme for each one. “Scooby doo’s mystery machine”… dumb and dumber, A-Team (maybe without live ammo)… etc. I already registered vanbnb.com. I figure as long as I pay the TOT fees the city will be cool with it. Most of em don’t even run, I figure I’ll just tow them to the top of newport and use the parking brake to relocate them further downhill every 72 hours. Coming to block a driveway near you!

  2. Triggerfinger. You are using the laws of this country. The laws. Just like the greatest people that we read about in business have used the laws of this country to do a great job for their companies. Much like virtually ever person that you read about on the front page of the business section. You have used the laws.* I salute you.
