You have to be kidding… Microchips, the DoD and YOUR private parts

microchipObecians- you have participated in a polite conversation on this blog about the intrusion of government in your private lives recently. The Homeland Security cameras, the life guard towers, etc.  Take note that the good citizens of Georgia have recently taken a much more pro-active approach to this issue. The Georgia House Judiciary Committee passed a bill that would prohibit “requiring a person to be implanted with a microchip.” Violation of this law would be a misdemeanor.

Now why did this happen? Were Homeland Security cameras being mounted on the pecan and peach trees? Not exactly. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a woman who identified herself as a resident of DeKalb County told the committee:

“I’m also one of the people in Georgia who has a microchip.” She continued with “microchips are like little beepers….Just imagine, if you will, having a beeper in your rectum or genital area, the most sensitive are of your body. And your beeper numbers are displayed on billboards throughout the city. And they are implanted by the Department of Defense. All done without your permission.”

This is of course serious stuff. When I hear a beep emitted from My Beloved I now wonder is it his cell phone or is it his rectum? Will our personal life be displayed on some billboard on Route 94 between downtown and City Heights? How does this help our troops in Afghanistan? How can California be so behind on this important issue?

woman headwiresI turned to my women friends. Their response?

“Woaaaa! A microchip in my vajayjay? And it’s only a misdemeanor? Shouldn’t someone FRY for that? “ And the more reasoned view- “Well, does it provide a WiFi connection and full cable?”

Ah Georgia. The OTHER South Carolina… Tell the governor Sonny Purdue what YOU think about Senate Bill 235. Email him here: http://www.capwiz.com/politicsol/mail/?id=2582&type=GV&state=GA
