Election, Selection, a Mention

SAN DIEGO, CA. The people have spoken – or at least some of the them, in yesterday’s low-voter turn-out in the second California primary of this election cycle.

Mayor Sanders won outright, proving that a rich man, Francis, can’t buy a mayor’s seat here in Sunny Diego, or can’t buy it outright with a switch in positions.

Michael Aguirre will be in a run-off with Jan Goldsmith for City Attorney.

Prop C – the auditor – won, which means Mayor Sanders will appoint the fox to guard the hen house.

Prop 98 lost – destroying efforts to prohibit rent control.

God help us with DeMaio on the council.

  1. Interesting results last night DeMaio won but it was expected from RB. Should make council meeting more interesting although not necessarily fun. If he and Mad Mike get to go at one another it may be like cage fighting. Fortunately for Carl as well as the City Mike the Marauder will most likely be thrown out of the ring before he gets chance to say crook to DeMaio I almost wish he could stay around to poke DeMaio but then DeMaio might like that.
Unfortunately the News anchor will have work harder to take down her opponent in Nov. She was favored this time but Ms Emerald didn’t have muscle to pin Boling
The joy of local scat fighting don’tcha love it

  2. Stu – Mike Aguirre is not out yet – yes he got 29% to Goldsmith’s 32% but he also didn’t campaign during the primary. So, don’t count him out, and you may yet to witness the Mike versus Carl show.
