An impeach Trump rally was held in San Diego, Sunday, December 15, in front of the San Diego County Admin Building off Harbor Drive. Reportedly, at least 400 San Diegans joined in the event – to send a message to Congress and the Senate.

The rally was part of the nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” protests.

This national mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections.

In San Diego and elsewhere, protestors demanded that the House of Representatives fulfill its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one — including the President of the United States — is above the law.

Speakers at the event included Marjorie Cohn, professor emerita at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and Andy Kopp, Co-Director of the San Diego Chapter of the Truman National Security Project, a national organization advocating for tough, smart national security solutions; and Scott Storms, local business owner, activist and Indivisible leader.

I never imagined, this Wed/18th morning, that I’d be watching Congress on TV preparing to vote to impeach a President of the United States – for the THIRD time, in my lifetime. Once, was too much. And yet, here we are…

That, and aforesaid “Trump Baby” blimp, out there on the CAC grass! Words just fail…

(Nonetheless – I’d like to wish all my OBR/SDFP friends a happy and peaceful holiday season! That’s the way of it, this time of year – His way is to INclude, not to EXclude. ALL are of His creation. And may we all meet back here again, in 2020! :-) tfb )
