Generic 5G cellphone antenna

From today’s San Diego Union-Tribune:

Activation of nine newly installed 5G cellphone antennas in Point Loma has stalled following an outcry from parents concerned about the possible health effects on nearby schoolchildren.

Parents of students at the Rock Academy, a private Christian school at Liberty Station that has more than 500 students in preschool through high school, say they believe the equipment may pose a threat because of the wireless radiation in 5G technology.

In April 2022, Rock Church — which runs the Rock Academy on its campus at 2277 Rosecrans St. — entered an agreement with T-Mobile in which it leased a portion of the academy roof to the company, allowing it to install cellphone antennas.

Mel Ling Nazar, director of public relations and social media for Rock Church, said the decision was made to generate additional income for the ministry. A brief notice was sent to parents via email, and the antennas were set to be activated around March this year.

But a group of parents whose children attend the school fear that the radiation used by the 50 network us dangerous and that the proximity of the new equipment to the Rock Academy and other schools nearby may harm the health and well-being of their children.

After communicating with parents about their concerns. Rock Church sent a letter dated March 13 that notified T-Mobile that “neither T-Mobile nor any of Its contractors or representatives will be allowed to enter the church property for any activation of the antenna facilities. “

Well Rock Family, I would bet a dozen sunday donuts that a very long and detailed contract was signed that you’ll agreed for the install to take place and doubtful you can walk the signed/agreed contract back without putting up some serious bling, bling, it will be interesting to see how this plays out, but i can guess sh*t like this was well covered in the 50,100,200 page contract, and those suckers will be activated, gotta wonder those parents who objected do they put a time limit on there children using there cell phones? doubtful, ok, well ok then, don’t throw stones then just yet.

Yeah, screw kids health. Contracts with corporate behemoths is what counts, right? NRA

There are a number of studies that have come out of Europe over the last few years that have serious reservations about the effects of 5G on human bodies. Similar studies in the US…oh wait, that doesn’t work with the kind of corporate Capitalism we have here.

Privatized profit over people and socialize the risks and costs later by the taxpayer to protect those profits. Need I list the literally thousands of these cases over the years? Let’s start with…tobacco! Or DDT. Dioxins. Pesticides. Artificial sweeteners. Thalidomide. Radiation is good for you. CO2 makes the plants grow better so burning fossil fuel is helping to green the planet up.

You can’t make this crap up. But humans are so notoriously short memoried it is amazing we haven’t gone extinct yet from greed and just plain stupidity. But we’re working hard on that, too…

You can add any and all you can think of to this massive list of serious money-based corruption that turned around and bit us in the ass…or more to the point the nest generation’s asses as that usually seems to be when humans learn the lesson. And then forget it shortly afterwards.

Trust the corporations? Trust the politicians that are in the pay of corporations? Trust the regulators put in by the same politicians, and regulations that are written and submitted by corporate lawyers and lobbyists? Are you fricking nuts?

Electromagnetic waves of all sorts of frequencies go through our bodies all the time doing no harm, but if you don’t understand science, you can always fearmonger! It will make the news! And more fear will spread until we win! Victory for those who fear new technology!

I live N/E of Hanford on the outside n/e corner of the third ‘bubble’ in the expected fallout zone of the most toxic, radioactive site in this country. You want to talk about fear-spreading vs understanding the risks of untested (long-term effects) of new technology?

You do know what ‘electromagnetic waves’ actually are, yes? In the same family as X-rays and Gamma Rays which most certainly DO affect the human body as they still put a lead apron over men’s genitals at the emergency room. Radio waves, ultraviolet waves, you get the picture. And can’t forget microwave ovens so as a little experiment you can stick your head in one and turn it on to see if those electromagnetic waves are harmless if you’d care to.

And electromagnetic waves have already been weaponized and used as a police weapon that has been described as feeling your body burn all over under your skin. Along with sound waves in the LRAD sonic weapon.

These are science facts not fear mongering.

The FCC is owned by Big Corporate Telecoms whose employees shuttle back and forth from their paychecks to the fed FCC paychecks. They know which side their bread is buttered on as do the politicians that sign off on this stuff.

And, as an aside, just who is doing the ‘testing’ and reporting of the risks of this new technology? Oh, that’s right, the companies who have a huge vested interest in pushing the latest crap onto consumers for strictly profit motives of their corporate owners. What, 4G wasn’t good enough, fast enough?

Eventually maybe they’ll find a G that is so…strong that people will become popcorn in a popper! As long as it makes corporates money… /S

Very much like asking fossil fuel corporations to find out just what the effects are going to be of rampant burning of oil and coal on the atmosphere. How’d that turn out? Oh wait, even Shell just got snagged in those on-going investigations with documents that said they EXPECTED to see massive climate refugees caused by global warming effects on their areas of the globe.

And you trust what Big Telecom tells you, eh?

As to your “but if you don’t understand science, you can always fearmonger!” I’ve got an endorsement on my mid-90s Bachelor Degree from Utah State University (heavy on the Ag & sciences) that is in fancy black lettering across the bottom that read “and Sciences.” Nothing specific as I was more of a generalist in my studies wanting to learn a wide range of subjects, but I’ve kept up on the wide-range reading ever since. What it did do is teach me to question what corporations tell me and not just accept what their profit motives say I should believe…

Love is Love Lib2024 May 26, 2023 at 10:22 am

The 5G waves are the least of our concerns at the moment. The libtards are trying to fuck with our water and food supplies. Just look at Chicago and Detroit. These midwest blues are suffering due to the Democratic leadership and propaganda they’re expunging yonder there. All of these newfangled transsexuals and pan lovers are the result of the disease of deterioration of the modern mind after being broken and subject to the libs.

This goes so much deeper than propaganda, though. Flint, Michigan is a cover-up for something greater. For years the democrats have been authorizing covert subjugation of chemicals in our water supply. As soon as residents start to become suspicious, poof. They reroute water and claim it was all the effect of lead. All the schlomos in Flint are the by-product of lib interference.

I hear this all the time up here. Remember, Idaho is only an hour or so away by highway over the mountains! I imagine that it feels much like it did driving into Nazi Germany from another country before WWII…

I do agree with the first half of the first sentence in the second paragraph. This DOES go so much deeper than propaganda; it goes with few if any critical thinking skills, a lack of knowledge of world history, science, and a host of other deficits including a cognitive ability to think outside of the box.

The Midwest? The grain producing farmer states of ND, SD, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Misery as people born in Missouri call it (at least the ones I know that got away) etc etc are all gerrymandered to being GOP only voting, and are operated by Republican MAGA governors, legislators, DAs, and cops!

Funny that Kansas, when allowed to VOTE on abortion rights recently, they did!

The absolute ignorance present in this rant is astounding but not surprising.

Did this person actually write “…the democrats have been authorizing covert subjugation of chemicals in our water supply” with a straight face? Wow. Please Frank, I may have ‘and Sciences’ printed on my bachelor degree but I never heard that combination of words before.

What a perfect example of a ‘modern’ MAGA mind from the 13th Century. Be burning witches again soon I imagine.

And about those 5G cell phone towers, I finally found this that I wanted to post. From last year:

How the FCC Shields Cellphone Companies From Safety Concerns

The wireless industry is rolling out thousands of new transmitters amid a growing body of research that calls cellphone safety into question. Federal regulators say there’s nothing to worry about — even as they rely on standards established in 1996.

Sorry for the long link. I checked and it didn’t work when shortened.

Not sure about all the science and fear mongering. But I’m with Mr. Hammond on this. I’m willing to bet that those towers will be turned on or Rock Church will have to reimburse the T-Mobile for the work that was already done and have to be undone to get out of this. There was certainly a contract signed and it is probably pretty solid.

The rock church is being sued again. This time for negligence that resulted in the death of a little girl. But these law suits are not a surprise anymore. That place is filled with a toxic culture and an extensive history of abuse. Let justice be served. I wouldn’t be surprised if T-Mobile sues them too.
