After a 2 year hiatus the Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off was held Saturday the 25th of 2022. Tens of thousands attended what turned out to be a flawless event with the OB Mainstreet Association and Town Council.

Geez Frank, looking at the video of this happy OB Community celebration makes all our work with OBCPG and other activities like the Rag worthwhile. A little sanity in this crazy world. I’ve been thinking of our July 4th 1976 OB Independence Day–American Sesquicentennial Beach Party Celebration.
Oops, correction, American 1976 Bicentennial; I was thinking of Oregon’s Sesquicentennial.
Douglas, I was just in Oregon visiting my daughter and her family, in a small town southwest of Portland.
Frank, thanks for the OB Chili community celebration video; I posted it on my facebook page along with our 1976 Fourth of July-Bicentennial flyer. And glad you enjoyed visiting the Oregon beach town with your daughter. True, our beaches up here are beautiful, natural and mostly uncrowded…but as you mentioned the water is usually too cold for swimming.
The town is about an hour and half drive from the coast. The coasts there are beautiful.
