Massive T-storm after 1am this morning, huge lightning bolts dropping out of the sky so close they were craaaaack-SNAP not thunder. Entire house was shaking from the concussions. Then micro-burst downpours really cut loose. Nice to see water from the sky for a change as I, too, up here in the Selkirks am under RED FLAG fire warnings as you are down there in Cali….but at least it’s actually chill this morning compared to the miserable 90s heat that it has been for a month. Humidity is pretty high for the dry side of this state this morning, though.
Gonna read into my book some while you’re gone assuming you picked it up from the po box?

Oh man, the rain, rolling thunder and lightening flashes – wow! And the oppressive humidity, going from AC houses to AC vehicles to AC workplaces. Yet, it was great to be in an area that’s so diverse. And the people of Georgia are really friendly.
That storm description fits southern storms exactly. The experience of lightning and the simultaneous explosion of thunder is amazing and happens regularly down south, every single afternoon during the summers. Rain so hard people pull to the roadside to wait it out because windshield wipers are useless. And when it’s over the steam rises from the earth like smoke. And the bugs love every bit of it.
Today Tuesday, we won’t be posting anything unless by mistake. I’m too wiped out but will be back on my feet Wednesday.
