It’s Important to Wear a Mask While Shopping These Days – Here Are Some Creative Solutions

It’s excellent that people are wearing masks these days when they go shopping – although not everyone is.

But here are some creative solutions Americans have found when it comes to getting out the mask and putting it on. Some have taken the mask task to extremes, however. Although, these are better than nothing … I think.

Hilarious but scary at the same time to think there are people like this.

This ain’t no joke, talk to biologists you might know especially infectious disease folk. But I also had to grin at these pictures. Whether they work or not is moot at best, but they do bring up humor which is in very short supply it seems.

No, the scary ones are the people who are NOT wearing masks and gloves and eye protection. Who are still following our dear leader’s words that it’s all a Democratic Hoax and will disappear with warmer weather. Oh darn, it was mid-30s last night up here.

Those that listen to the science…after going out one should strip when you get home, out of the outer clothing before walking in your door if at all possible so you don’t contaminate your living spaces. Accidental contact with virus can shed off your clothing that you didn’t know even happened. Including shoes and hats. Wash before wearing again, leave stuff outside a couple days due to UV and wind kill this virus pretty fast.

Look at the photos of the Docs & RNs and what they are wearing. Do you think they’re kidding? I don’t. Brrrr. Gives me the chills every time I see a pic of them. We are so unprotected out here from this.

Sorry to be so grim sounding, but I went to town yesterday for mail. Another 11 days on the property since the last mail run April 2nd. This time I needed a Safeway stop and Ace Hardware for garden soil. Every employee of Safeway was in gloves and masks. Every employee of Ace Hardware was NOT in gloves or masks. About half the customers in both were in gloves and masks. A few were also in safety glasses at Safeway but unlike a friend of mine in Chico, the aisles were not designated 1-way yet so people were having to pass one another by at most 2 feet.

And I watched roughly 9 people walk in and out of the post office before I got my mail from the box, and only 3 were in gloves and mask. But, for the first time in 15 years, the outer door to the mailboxes was propped open. Guess they ran out of sanitizer, or maybe tired of constantly having to spray the handle and the inside push bar.

Thanks for the pictures. I needed to see them to lighten the evening.

Thanks for that! It’s good to get a laugh after wearing masks all day for days on end at ocean beach’s largest employer.

A much needed uplift, thx for that. :-)
Like so many others, watching Tiger King last week left me wondering about the reality 2020 has brought us. It took me awhile to absorb and believe that the cast of characters were real people.
But then, looking at the creativity in these pictures, I guess it IS all really out there, figuratively and literally! :-)

Funny stuff. Remember Anarchists were wearing masks before it was popular or required.
