Read this morning that The Federalist, (for those of you who don’t know is well known and respected a conservative publication.) Put this out on Twitter today.
“Is it time to think outside the box and seriously consider a somewhat unconventional approach to COVID-19: controlled voluntary infection”.
Twitter was forced to remove it after many reported it as offensive. Republicans consider this publication their bible.
They are simply uncaring assholes. Change my mind.

According to statistics, Republicans are poorer, and thus feel the pain of economic downturn more than others. Hence more pressure to reopen sooner. They also have lower IQs on average (again, statistics) and so are probably more receptive to oversimplified solutions.

You’re probably thinking of the small sliver of Republicans who are part of the rich elite – in particular, the ones who are greedy sociopaths and would delight in leaving a million people dead in the streets if it pushed their stock values up by a dollar. But they’re a very small group.

Strangely enough, Trumps approval rate is at the highest ever and Biden continues to make gaffes on even rehearsed statements.
Is it too late to swap him out for a younger, for favorable Obama-type like NY’s Cuomo?

Otherwise, we are looking at another 4 years of Trump.
Trump supporters remain fiercely loyal regardless of any current conditions.

How do you figure? Trump NEVER has had more than a 49% approval rating. And think about what happened in 2018. The worst loses the GOP has suffered in Congressional races since – what – 1976?

His approval is at a all-time high, Frank.
Even higher than after the Mueller disaster and the following impeachment debacle.
My point was that we are in need of a new candidate.
Biden is in the throws of dementia and I find it baffling that we continue to ignore it.
It will be all out in the open by November.
Especially with the addition of his #metoo accuser. There will be more to come, I guarantee. It.

From Washington Post: “… a new Washington Post-ABC News poll is the latest to offer good news for President Trump. His approval rating has reached a new high — as it has in other polls this week — and the overall view of his handling of the coronavirus outbreak is yet again positive. But this poll, perhaps more than others, suggests just how temporary that bump might be.

In the poll, 48 percent approve of Trump’s overall job performance — the first time his approval has been higher than his disapproval (46 percent) in any Post-ABC poll. His approval on his handling of the coronavirus is 51 percent, vs. 45 percent negative. All of that is in line with other polls.

But the Post-ABC poll asked one very specific question on the coronavirus that doesn’t reflect so favorably on Trump. It asked people whether they thought Trump was too slow to respond to the crisis or whether he reacted with the right speed. Fully 58 percent of people said he was too slow, while just 38 percent said he reacted as quickly as he should have.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/03/27/bad-news-trump-amid-his-coronavirus-poll-bump/

This uptick in Trump’s approval rating isn’t really surprising. Once again as an entitled elitist he responded to a crisis by throwing money to the people affected and shifting the conversation away from the root cause of the problem (he and his administration’s denial of, and failure to act quickly to a medical crisis) and focus on how he’s helping everyone. Don’t get me wrong, I recognize the severity of this economic crisis and I’m in favor of the stimulus package.

Once again, Trump is the showman in the spotlight reframing himself as a hero during a medical crisis he first flat out denied and tried to spin into a conspiracy theory.

The virus came from China and is a global pandemic, just take a look at Italy.
Tom Hanks contracted the virus in Australia.

This is in NO WAY a United States of America problem. Very elitist attitude.

We are all in this one together.

Be well, stay safe and stay informed.

We all need to stop once in a while and just laugh:

A plane has five passengers on board: Donald Trump, the Pope, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Hillary Clinton, and Greta Thunberg.

The plane is about to crash and there are only 4 parachutes.

Dr Fauci says “I need one! I have to develop a vaccine to cure Covid-19!”
He takes a parachute and jumps.
The Pope says “I need one! I have to guide people through the spiritual crisis wrought by Covid-19!”
He takes one and jumps.
Donald Trump says ‘‘I need one! I’m the most stable genius in the USA!”
He grabs one and jumps.
Hillary Clinton says to Greta Thunberg, “You take the last parachute. My public life is over and yours has only begun.”
Greta Thunberg says …
“Don’t worry, there are two parachutes left. The most stable genius in the USA took my backpack.”A plane has five passengers on board: Donald Trump, the Pope, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Hillary Clinton, and Greta Thunberg.
