Livingston’s Mexican Grill & Chicken Kitchen on Newport Ave in Ocean Beach has closed.

The hole in the wall Mexican eatery at 5026 Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach has been next to Sunshine Company Saloon for more than two decades. Sunshine customers could also order from a separate counter inside.

The owner closed the doors on Monday, February 3. SanDiegoVille reported:

Allegedly, the owner wanted to retire, closed suddenly yesterday, and is rumored to be in the process of returning to his home country of the Philippines. There is no word who will fill the space at 5026 Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach.

They had very decent food at very decent prices. One of the last low-cost eateries on Newport.
