The US House of Representatives – in an historic move – just voted to approve the rules to be used for the impeachment inquiry into president Trump. By a vote of 232 to 196, the House passed rule that will:

  • allow for open hearings;
  • allow for Congressional staff to interview witnesses;
  • allow for Trump or his counsel to be involved in the proceedings.

There are reports that the open hearings could begin by mid-November, just 2 weeks away. (The House begins a week recess after today.) See Washington Post here.

This is indeed a very historic day for America. This has only happened three times before in our history.
