I don’t usually go back to a restaurant with a two month period of time, but I had to make an exception for Cesarina. The first time that I ate there they had only been in business a month or so. That experience was delightful, from the china flown in from Italy, to the foods offered on the menu.
The second time I went back there I went with different people and our experience was the same. The service was impeccable; the food was tasty and authentic.
The pasta was made there – you can watch it being made – and the tiramisu was to die for. It was made for us right at our table.
The third time I went back I went with still another group of people, and, once again, they raved about the food. We started out with appetizers – Fiori Di Zucca – ($12.95) and Melone, Bufala and Prosciutto ($14.95) and proceeded to order one of the 8 shapes of Pasta, or Gnocchi, or Ravioli, Tortellini, or Mezzelune, and then ordered one of the eight sauces or 9 toppings.
It is absolutely impossible to do justice to the menu, because it is so unique.
In addition to the pasta courses, there are a variety of entrée’s offered also. There’s the fresh “fish of the day’; there is a vegan section; there’s beef, chicken, etc. There is just about anything that you want. Even the soup of the door – fresh mushroom soup when we were there – was delicious.
They are open for breakfast Friday-Sunday and that will be the next meal that I try there.
But wait! I just received a flash that has to whet your appetite. Look at this!
On the second Tuesday of each month (beginning Tuesday, July 9), each dine-in party who enjoys dinner will receive that month’s new tableside dessert on the house.
Oh Boy! It was sometimes hard to get a table before. Make sure you make your reservations early in the day!
Buon appetito!
