Scooters are everywhere these days — and nights — and they are unpredictable, fast and often driven erratically. People double up. They usually ride without helmets, in the middle of streets or three across; sometimes they are barefooted, sometimes they cradle a small dog as they zip along; sometimes they weave back and forth. They have headlights but no tail lights and I’m surprised reported scooter injuries are not more frequently deadly. There oughta be an enforced law.
