A new sign at OB’s Dog Beach warns people and dogs to “check in before you get in”. It’s all an effort by the County’s Department of Environmental Health to have swimmers and surfers and dog owners to get the very latest on the status of coastal water quality.
It gives a hot-line number (619-338-2073) and a website .
As of this writing (11-3-17) the waters off OB are good, there are no beach closures anywhere but here are 3 “advisories” : San Diego Bay-Coronado, Mission Bay and the La Jolla Children’s Pool.
