They will also be sanitizing 4800 to 5000 Newport on the same day according to other posted signs.

And again I have to ask: Where does the water that is being used with the bleach going? In the sewers? In the storm drain? In the ocean? Why is this question not being addressed?

I was down there the first day they did this down Newport in early October, they are only doing like a mist, it doesn’t pool up or really even get wet and dries in a few mins. Can’t imagine the bleach can hurt in the scheme of things, it is kind of gross down there with all the dog piss alone.

also, here is the big UT article on the powerwashing that goes into the storm water runoff protection, etc.

According to a worker I asked who was
“washing” down the 200 block of 16thSt.
a couple of weeks ago. He said yes
They’re supposed to be capturing the
water. I watched him along with the man
with a broom who was supposed to be
sweeping & picking up the crap that the spray guy
is “cleaning” off the sidewalk, yeah,
well that’s not going very well.
If you can round up the troops, the whole
process should be watched ?
