Nearly 400 San Diego cancer patients receive free medical marijuana from a company named after one of Ocean Beach’s famous surf spots: “the Jetty”.
The San Diego company, Jetty Extracts, gives out the cannabis extracts every month through a program called the “Shelter Project.”
Matt Lee is the founder of Jetty Extracts and says he started his company to support himself while he enjoined his surfing hobby. So, he named it after the jetty that creates the break at north Ocean Beach.
Patients that Lee serves receive the cannabis extracts used to combat the side effects of chemotherapy.

Jetty Extracts’ Shelter From The Storm Project provides cancer patients clean and safe medicinal cannabis oil at no cost to the patient.
Marijuana has long been shown to be an effective treatment for pain and a safe alternative to many drugs currently used to treat cancer. In an effort to help in the fight against cancer, Jetty Extracts is committed to supplying products complimentary to cancer patients seeking medicinal marijuana as a cancer treatment.
But it doesn’t stop there! In addition, Jetty is collaborating with local businesses and community members to provide cancer patients with other valuable services.

How do I become a member here. I have stage 4 lung cancer and did receive a package 4months ago. I haven’t heard back from them which I’ve left messages No reply. I see your near ocean beach. Are You facilitated with jettyproject. Can u get back to me so I can enroll in this one. Let me tell you that this has helped me with eating depression & pain.
