OB’s famous Farmers Market just turned 25 – and it was acknowledged yesterday, May 17th.

After praising the Market for its quarter century existence and model for other farmers markets, Councilwoman Lorie Zapf presented Denny Knox, CEO of the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association with an anniversary certificate, a Declaration from the San Diego City Council honoring the occassion.

The market – every Wednesday – holds close to one hundred different vendors with their booths, selling food prepared on the spot, flowers, fruits, and crafts to the crowds that jam the sidewalks of one block of Newport Avenue.
