The draft community plan update for the Midway District  has been released by the City of San Diego’s Planning Department.

The planning document – formerly called the April 2017 draft Midway – Pacific Highway Community Plan – is an update to the planning framework established in the previous November 2013 draft.

Here is the link to the draft.

Here is the press release from Vickie White, Senior Planner:

The Planning Department is pleased to announce the release of a refined draft of the Midway-Pacific Highway Community Plan (hyperlink). This April 2017 draft Midway – Pacific Highway Community Plan builds on the land use, mobility, urban design, and parks framework established in the previous November 2013 draft. Refinements to proposed land uses and draft policies have been made based on input from the Midway – Pacific Highway Community Planning Group and other stakeholders, and urban greening and storm water management recommendations developed through the Midway – Pacific Highway Urban Greening Planning Study have been incorporated.

As part of the Community Plan Update a community-wide rezone is being proposed to implement the vision and policies of the Community Plan. The proposed zoning map and summary table can be viewed from the link above.

An Environmental Impact Report will be prepared to analyze the draft community plan, and is anticipated to be released for public review and comment in mid-Summer 2017.

Please feel free to get in contact with me if you have any questions about the April 2017 draft Community Plan or the community plan update process.
