It’s that week of the holidays where the Ocean Beach Town Council has geared up is Annual Food & Toy Drive – and they need you to volunteer. It all begins Monday night – the 12th of December.
The Town Council has a big goal this year to feed and provide presents for over 90 local families and seniors. And they need your help to get the job done! Stop by and lend a hand sorting food and wrapping gifts.
They hope that you will join them us on one or more of the following dates – and it all takes place at the Masonic Center, 1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Here is the schedule:
- Monday, 12/12 at 5:00pm – 9:00 pm: Sorting the non-perishable food items.
- Tuesday, 12/13 at 5:00pm – 9:00 pm: Filling and labeling boxes with food and toys
- Wednesday, 12/14 at 5:00pm – 9:00 pm: Filling and labeling boxes with food and toys
- Thursday, 12/15 at 5:00pm – 9:00 pm: Gift wrapping
- Saturday, 12/17 at 8:30am – ALL HANDS ON DECK to distribute and deliver boxes! Come help with the big day of the Food and Toy Drive delivering all the boxes to our local families and seniors. Final sorting, loading boxes and delivery drivers are all needed. This is truly a tremendous morning for community connection in Ocean Beach.
If you are able to attend, please bring non-perishable food items or toys to donate. The OBTC also could use additional items to help with wrapping (scissors, ribbon, paper, tape, etc.)If you aren’t able to make it that week, there are 20 locations throughout Ocean Beach that are hosting Donation Boxes to drop off new, unwrapped toys, and/or non-perishable food items.
