As of 9 a.m. pst, Saturday, November 19th, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 1 and 2/3rds million popular votes.
It is now up to a lead of 1,677,041 ballots cast for her.
It’s clear that anyone who says that America voted for Trump is wrong. Sure, half of America voted for the future autocrat, but more voted for Hillary.
Track the slow count of ballots yourself here, compiled from official sources by: David Wasserman @Redistrict, Cook Political Report @CookPolitcal.

The popular vote does not determine the President. The popular vote does not determine changes to the Constitution. The popular vote does not elect Supreme Court Justices. We are a Republic with elected representatives in the House , Senate and Electoral College.
All of the popular vote lead for Hillary can be explained by the one party state of California. Damping the power of one big state over the rest of the states and country is exactly why we have an Electoral College.
RB, you wrote: “Damping the power of one big state over the rest of the states and country is exactly why we have an Electoral College.” Think about how silly that comment is for a minute. If there was no Electoral College, the popular vote would decide the outcome. California is full of Trump supporters but because there was a majority who went for Clinton, their voices didn’t get heard. That is the power of one big state. Take away the Electoral College and California would have LESS of an influence, not more.
Have to ask again–are you or have you been working to abolish Electoral College, Geoff?
Feel free to google electoral college
Thanks for the civics lesson RB. But let us not forget that the last time the republicans won the presidency in 2000′ was with less popular vote. A 5-4 decision by a republican leaning court gave us GWB. Let’s us not forget his republican policies lead the nation to unneeded war and crashed the economy. Let’s hope the republicans learned their lesson, but based on the rhetoric and vulgarity of the republican leadership I have no confidence in them. I’m for the California Republic, one nation. Peace my brothers and sisters.
Richard, your comment is tone deaf. The point of the first two posters is not to endorse the candidate who won the election. It is simply to point out that the election was won fair and square under the rules of a system that was very thoughtfully adopted nearly 250 years ago.
Quit your complaining!!!!!
Quit your complaining??? Is this mantra for the Trump era? The election was NOT won fair and square. Hillary is ahead by over 1,700,000 popular votes. The FBI and the Russians intervened. Yeah, it was fair all right.
Keep it up Richard.
Tell that to Bernie Sanders.
Seriously, Oldob? The only reason the first two posters took to their keyboards was to defend our election system? Of course they were endorsing the candidate that won. And the problem with the “rules of a system that was very thoughtfully adopted nearly 250 years ago” is precisely that it is 250 years old. The Constitution has been amended 27 times since then so why should the Electoral College be exempt from change?
Abolish the electoral college? Dream on, Democrats.
“The electoral college, after all, is enshrined in our Constitution, which means getting rid of it requires a constitutional amendment. That’s a two-thirds vote in both the House and the Senate and the ratification of three-fourths (38) of the 50 states.

Please note the Senate and House and 32 states are controlled by Republicans.
Sure it’s a dream but without dreams, what do you have?
“The electoral college is a disaster for democracy!”
Donald Trump November 6, 2012
“The electoral college is actually genius…”
Donald Trump November 15, 2016
But sure, whatever supports your agenda. Nobody does hypocrisy quite like the Republicans.
I blame the parties for what just occurred not the Electoral College.
IMO, The first step if you want make the presidential elections more democratic, while yielding better candidates and an open process, is to get rid of super delegates. And I believe there is some truth in what others have said…”The only person who could lose to Trump is Hillary Clinton and the only person who could lose to Hillary Clinton is Donald Trump. These were two terribly flawed candidates. Both parties failed.
Hillary Clinton’s lead over Trump now has increased to 1,703,396 popular votes. 7:30pm pst 11/20/16
As of 6:00 am pst, Monday, 11/21/16, Hillary’s lead now extends for 1,720,053 popular votes.
By 9:30 pm pst, Monday, Clinton leads by 1,752,899 popular votes.
RB… A federal judge in Wisconsin just yesterday determined the unfair Gerimandering of congressional districts in Wisconsin by the GOP. Only 31 states to go.
The only people who support gerimandering are incumbents from both parties.
Please see the congressional districts in San Diego. However, how you draw the lines does not determine the members of the electoral college.
I will give this for your next protest…..”If they not square, they’re not fair”
I’ve been keeping track of the Clinton v Trump popular vote totals, and as of 2pm pst, today, Clinton leads by 1,762,666 votes.
