From Point Loma – OB Dems

There’s a Measure on the ballot this November that could determine how we’ll get around San Diego County for the next 40 years. Transportation affects the quality of lives – how we get to work, how we get to the beach. It shapes the growth of our cities, and the health of children and seniors.

The Republican Party of San Diego County and the San Diego County Democratic Party both agree on one thing – vote No on Measure A this November.

On Sunday, September 25, we’ll hear two reasonable voices arguing for and against the Measure.

Anthony Montalvo is the Outreach Manager for Citizens for a Better San Diego, a campaign organization working to support Measure A.

Gretchen Newsom is the Political Director for IBEW 569, and a member of a diverse coalition that includes environmental, labor, business, and community advocacy groups that oppose Measure A, plus is the current president of the OB Town Council.

This is all happening Sunday, Sept. 25th, from 4:00PM – 5:30PM at the Point Loma Assembly, 3035 Talbot St, San Diego, CA 92106. For additional info call (619) 800-5098

This is a free event and open to the public. PL-OB Dems have a social time, where members are encouraged to get together from 3:30PM before the meeting starts – and everyone is always invited to bring whatever light drinks/snacks that you’d like to share.

After the meeting ends the hosts suggest adjourning to the nearby Seaside Pho & Grill, 1005 Rosecrans St, to continue our progressive conversation. The owner, Thuy Nguyen, has extended Happy Hour until 6:30pm.

Good! Gretchen’s great – and this seems like an enticing debate.
